The Importance Of Finding Your Own Style Part 1

Looking your best is the best thing you can do for yourself. I cannot stress how important it is to be able to present yourself in-front of people. As easy as it may sound to most of you, it isn't. Fashion is an art and art is, well... complicated (in it's own beautiful way).

One of the first steps into looking your best is knowing what to wear given the occasion. You have to be able to dress the part to be the part. And that requires you to have a wardrobe that is ready to take on the world (and no... that doesn't make you a superhero). You want to be able to make that first impression. That first impression is what lands you that promotion, that job you've always wanted and even that girl you've been stalking for weeks now. Remember, clothing is one of the best ways to express who you are. It is colorful and loud. That's why people have to take advantage of that.

Looking good doesn't require you to wear and the most expensive clothing in the world (what you choose to wear and where you buy your clothing is all up to you). It just means that you have to know how to work with what you have. Go give a damn and educate yourself.

Another step is knowing your brand (Why You Should Care About Brand Names credits go to Edward Honaker for stressing this). Yes, your brand. If you're familiar with brands you will easily be able to pick out clothes that fit you in general. For example, I know that the v-necks at Folded & Hung have shorter sleves compared to those at Oxygen (yay for longer sleeves). And the 36 slim fit pants at Topman are actually 34's for me at Levi's. Those are the little things that matter when it comes to clothing.

Part 2 coming soon...

NOTE: These were merely demands not suggestions.

Peace in the Middle East!
